Sunrise on My Retreat

One morning during our community retreat I was captured by the beauty of the sunrise and the fresh, deep blue sky. The scripture verse came to mind about the “first streaks of dawn” and the “morning star rising in your hearts” (1 Pt. 1:19). The song “Lord of All” rang through my head to praise and thank Him for what I saw. As a result, this came from my heart to share:

Fr. Peter Hammett, OSB from St. Joseph’s Abbey in Covington, LA gave our eight day retreat.

The stand placed in front of the altar in our choir with the Novena petitions sent in for our prayers. St. Therese is watching over them valiantly as she presents them before God’s holy throne in heaven.

Fr. Peter, OSB wanted to try out our bells before Mass. He had fun!
