Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Novena

We invite you to join us in prayer for our annual public Novena July 8th–16th. Holy Mass and Novena prayers begin each evening at 7:30 p.m. Our Novena preacher this year is Very Reverend Joseph L. de Orbegozo, PhL, one of our own diocesan priests and currently rector of St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Little Rock. We also welcome the nuns’ chaplain Msgr. Lawrence Frederick as celebrant and homilist on Friday and Saturday, the 11th and 12th (Saturday evening Mass will be the vigil Mass for Sunday).

We hope you will pray the prayers with us each day if you are not able to attend in person. The nuns will be praying for your intentions all throughout the Novena, especially at Holy Mass.

On the last night –the solemnity of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel–Bishop Anthony Taylor will be the main celebrant. After Mass there will be an opportunity for enrollment in the Brown Scapular, if you are not already enrolled. It is a joyous occasion to celebrate this great feast after praying together for nine days!

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us!
