New Monastery Projects

Hello, dear Friends of Carmel! We have not put up a new post here for so long, so sorry. There have been lots of other things to do! There have been several new monastery projects here in the past year, including a remodelled nuns’ choir.

We’ll explain with some pictures from the last several months:

Mass of Blessing

It has been a great blessing to pray and sing to the Lord in this beautiful space and hear the acoustics improve our sound! On September 5th we had a special Mass of Blessing for our new nuns’ choir and the new statues with our Bishop Anthony Taylor and our daily Mass chaplain, Msgr. Lawrence Frederick.

Sr. Cecilia’s deceased parents have made many of these repairs and beautification projects possible through a legacy to our community. Some of Sister’s family members got to come for the Blessing, which also included the new marble statues and bronze signage around the monastery grounds. It was a joyous occasion for all, and we also loved visiting with the Chun family.
