The Lord is risen! He is truly risen–Alleluia!
Blessed and happy Easter from all the nuns! As a gift to you along with our prayers we have a pretty substantial slide show for you, a glimpse of the risen beauty and glory of our God–alive and raised to new life. The very first buds of the trees and flowers are so precious to behold. It is as if our loving Creator teaches us about His love by showing us his creation. Winter does not have the last word, for we know Spring always comes. Death for the Christian is not the end, either. Nor are all the symbolic deaths we face daily “the end” of our happiness, our future, our hope.
Jesus took the “second death” so that we will not have to suffer it. It can no longer have power over us who have been baptized into Christ’s life (Rev. 20:6).
So, let us rejoice and believe in the good news. Yes, “there is cause for rejoicing here!”
“There is cause for rejoicing here. You may for a time have to suffer the distress of many trials; but this is so that your faith, which is more precious than the passing splendor of fire-tried gold, may by its genuineness lead to praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ appears.”1 Pt 1:6-7
