A Visit from China

During the Novena to St. Teresa of Jesus we were blessed to get to know one of our sisters from a far off land in the Orient. Sr. Mary, OCD is currently staying with the nuns in Terre Haute Carmel (IN) to study and receive formation in the Carmelite charism to pass on to the younger community back home.  The Carmel in China has 16 members all of which are still in formation except for the one elder nun among them who is 79 years old. We met her in St. Louis at the National Meeting and invited her to visit us. It was a true delight to spend time with her and she also enjoyed her short stay with us. We are truly united as sisters in Carmel wherever we are in the world.
