Our dear friends of Carmel, and all our fellow quarantined Catholics,
This is the first Sunday without attending Mass. For so many, it has been years and years you have not been at Mass on a Sunday. Please know we are united in prayer with all of you at this difficult time!

There is an abundant amount of online resources out there right now to help our Faith and nourish us in our hunger for the Eucharist. We’ve compiled a few that are well worth your time to explore. Please take advantage of them as our Lord invites you to!

On behalf of Father Hezekias and our ICC team, I want to offer a note of consolation in these days of uncertainty and, if I may borrow a phrase from one of our Poor Clare sisters, this unprecedented time of grace! What grace abounds in these days and how fortunate we are to receive it. I have some good news to share with you today.

I want to share with you some resources, both live and on-demand, offered at the Institute of Catholic Culture. I know many of you are working through changing schedules, uncertainty, and perhaps limited access to the sacraments. The ICC is trying all we can to help provide spiritual food and practical help to our ICC family during this time. 

Please read through this list and consider if any of the following might benefit you and your community, or perhaps those to whom you minister.

On-Demand Resources

1. Gospel Reflections: Every week, Father Hezekias and his brother, Father Sebastian, offer a reflection on the Sunday lectionary readings. These talks cover the historical and Biblical context of the passages and how they are connected. Especially if you are unable to attend Mass these coming Sundays, this may make a great addition to your week. These are offered as both a video or an audio file that you can download. You can access them here.
2. Talks on Lent: The ICC has an extensive library of talks that you can browse. If you click this link, you will see that the first section to browse contains talks all related to this season of Lent.
3. Self-Paced Courses: Finally, if you had a job outside of your convent, you may now find that you have a lot of time at your disposal. The ICC has a growing list of self-paced courses that you can take to enrich your days. Right now, we have Scripture 101 and 102 taught by Father Sebastian and 4 courses on the Catechism taught by Msgr. Charles Pope. For a shorter course, check our Father Hezekias’ series, Swords and Serpents. All of these can be found here.

Upcoming Live Events (all online, these will be recorded too!)

1. Lenten Retreat This Week: The ICC will be offering a Lenten retreat with Msgr. Charles Pope this coming week. He will be giving two Lectio Divina reflections (Sunday at 1 pm ET and Wednesday at 8 pm ET) as well as a Guided Stations of the Cross on Friday at 8 pm ET. These events will be broadcast via webinar, and you can register for them here.
2. Webinar Workshop: Later tonight (@ 8 pm ET), the ICC team will be offering a Webinar Workshop. Most of you are familiar with using web conferencing thanks to the Magdala classes. But you might not have considered how these tools can help you stay connected with those you minister to, your sisters in other locations, or your families. You can register for the webinar here.
